Our Treatments > Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry is a broad term used to refer to the range of techniques to enhance your smile, all the way from clear aligners and veneers to teeth whitening, stain removal and composite bonding. In our practice we offer the following:
Composite bonding is a more conservative and less expensive way of building, reshaping or changing the colour of your front teeth instead of using porcelain veneers or crowns. The remaining tooth is roughened and minimally prepared and the aesthetic material is built in layers by the dentist, finished and polished in one session.
A veneer is a piece of porcelain that can cover either the facia of the tooth or it can wrap around and extend more if needed.
Veneers can be used to change the shape of the teeth, align slightly crowded, protruding or retroclined teeth, close gaps or lighten the colour of a tooth.
Whitening is the process of making the teeth brighter by using specifically selected chemical agents, such as Hydrogen Peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide in a safe concentration and under the dentist’s supervision.
We have selected Home Whitening as our main whitening option, because it is considered to be safe and gives you a higher degree of control in regards to the final result and in terms of managing any tooth sensitivity issues.
This is a procedure by which your dentist or hygienist can remove the superficial staining from your teeth by using a specially formulated powder under pressure.
It can also be used as a preparation step before the teeth whitening procedure along with a hygienist visit.
We recognise dental problems come without warning; as well as our regular treatments, and our 'new patient appointments', we also offer emergency appointments, which we aim to see you within 24 hours or same day where possible.
